The story behind the run
Established in 1999, we've always specialized in furniture delivery. Prior to incorporating in 2003, Mahogany Run Delivery started with a Ford pickup truck doing single item deliveries for Newport Ave Antiques, Ocean Beach antiques, Cassidy West, Karen's Consignment and local interior designers like Kathy King Design. Punctuality and treating a client's furniture as if it were our own, was a principal concept we always put forefront in our business model.
Wayne Back is President and CEO with Mahlon Tillotson as Operations Manager, a veteran in the freight and Residential delivery field. Mahogany Run now serves hundreds of boutique stores, Interiors designers and large firms, major franchise stores and manufacturers in Southern California. Wayne Back, President and CEO of Mahogany Run Delivery, Inc., is the recipient of a 2012 Nicky Award as well as the 2011 Combined Health Agencies (United Way/CHAD) "Health Hero" Award, for over two decades of giving to the community. Stepping Stone of San Diego, Inc has been the primary beneficiary of Wayne's philanthropic support. A proud graduate of Stepping Stone's exemplary addiction treatment center, Wayne has donated more than $100,000 to the non-profit organization. He currently serves on the board of directors at Stepping Stone, as well as another local drug treatment facility, Pemarro House. He's known for housing numerous benefits, including his "yardsales" in South Park, and frequently donates services and supplies to the local community.
